Chasing Bone, an experimental, ”genre-free” music project. The idea around it was conceived in 2014, it went through different lineups initially in Greece, then Sweden and most importantly France from April 2016 onwards.
Chasing Bone’s debut album ‘State Of The Underdog’ was recorded live in April 2017, based on material composed between 2011-2014. Being their most jazz oriented record to date, it was produced by Chasing Bone and Anaïs Prosaïc (documentaries for Cesária Évora, Eliane Radigue, Marc Ribot, Patti Smith). A mini-european tour followed the release of the record in late 2017.
In the first days of 2018 the second album ‘Sell Them Pain For Ego’ was recorded in Berlin. Vocals were used to flatter the music as it occurs till today. Two of the tunes of the record were filmed as the band played them live at Shellac Studios (Thessaloniki, Greece) and that session became the first EP of the band, released in April 2019.
The band has recently released its’ latest album ’Now What?’, a mixture of art rock, avant-pop, electronic folk etc… With an acoustic guitar being at the forefront for the first time and the use of synths, saxophone, tablas, various household items, female vocals and spoken word / rap in german amongst others, Chasing Bone created an experimental album based on pop melodies.
