Red – Mix

His initial involvement with music began in the late 90’s as a turntablist. That time performing as a dj/turntablist, US hip-hop was the primary sound heard in his sets. In 2005 he won the second place at the Greek semi finals of the DMC world championship. Turntablism in fact allowed him to develop a further understanding of how music is structured and also created. Due to his natural inquisition for sound, experimenting with sampling and variety of other techniques, it was inevitable that he would expand his library of not only music yet knowledge of a variety of genres. This inquisition lead to him discovering the UK bass scene, which immediately resonated with him due to it’s unique sound. Production naturally became part of his practice following his deepened interest in music. The journey in which he undertook, resulted in an amalgamation of genres. However what can most be noticed within his sounds today it’s the bass driven sound along with hip hop influences at it’s core.
