Οι Empty Shirts είναι μια νεοσύστατη φοιτητική μπάντα με βάση τους τη Θεσσαλονίκη. Αποτελούνται από τον Κωνσταντίνο Βαγγή στα φωνητικά, τη Λήδα Κατσάνου στα drums, τον Γιώργο (Πέρις) Καραμανλή στο μπάσο και τη Σοφία Καπετανάκη στην κιθάρα. Ο ήχος τους κυμαίνεται στο φάσμα της alternative rock προσθέτοντας κάποια 90’s στοιχεία. Επικεντρώνονται στον αγγλικό στίχο και οι βασικές επιρροές τους εντοπίζονται στην ξένη σκηνή. Διατηρούν έναν μοντέρνο rock ήχο, βάζοντας τον χαρακτήρα τους μέσα σ’ αυτόν. Χαρακτηρίζονται από αυθορμητισμό, ένταση και πάθος γι’ αυτό που κάνουν. Το πρώτο τους μέλημα είναι η ενέργειά τους πάνω στην σκηνή να δημιουργεί μια έντονη εμπειρία για το κοινό. Έχουν ξεκινήσει τη live πορεία τους, τις συνεργασίες με άλλα σχήματα της Θεσσαλονίκης, καθώς και σύντομα θα έχουν στα χέρια τους και τα πρώτα τους single, “Boiling Frog” και “Keysmash”.
Empty Shirts are a newly formed student band based in Thessaloniki. The band consists of Konstantinos Vangis (vocals), Lida Katsanou (drums), Giorgos “Peris” Karamanlis (bass) and Sofia Kapetanaki (guitar). Their music style is centered in the alternative rock genre. Accumulating elements of the 90’s and using the english language as means of lyrical expression, they forge and maintain a modern rock sound, drawing inspiration from the foreign scene. Passion, ardor and spontaneity are the band’s sources of energy. Hence, in their live shows, they strive to convey said energy and character to the audience the second they step on a stage. The band have begun their live performances in Thessaloniki, tag-teaming with other entities of the city’s music scene and, in the near future, they will announce their first two singles, “Boiling Frog” and “Keysmash”.
