Σχηματισμένοι στα μέσα του 2014, οι Dope Default είναι ένα metal / stoner σχήμα από τη Θεσσαλονίκη, επηρεασμένοι από μπάντες όπως οι Alice in Chains, Metallica, Planet of Zeus, Pantera και Queens of the Stone Age.

Κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο τους EP το 2015, με τίτλο “Nuclear Honeymoon”, που έλαβε θετικές κριτικές από κοινό και τύπο. Μετά από αρκετές αλλαγές μελών, κυκλοφόρησαν το 2ο EP τους το 2017, με τίτλο “Tales from the Wasteland”.

Έχοντας πολυάριθμες ζωντανές εμφανίσεις στο ενεργητικό τους, κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο τους album, με τίτλο “Ofrenda”, που έλαβε εξαιρετικές κριτικές από ραδιόφωνα και περιοδικά ανά τον κόσμο.

Πριν ένα χρόνο κυκλοφόρησαν το καινούργιο τους album ‘Imprisoned’, με τον νέο τους front man, Γιάννη Καμπέλη, ένα album που είναι ένα μεγάλο βήμα προς νέα κατεύθυνση για την μπάντα.

Η τελευταία τους κυκλοφορία είναι το single ‘Down to Pieces’, το οποίο και συνοδεύεται από βίντεο κλιπ, σε σκηνοθεσία Τάσου Αμαραντίδη. Είναι το πρώτο τους κομμάτι από τον επερχόμενο νέο δίσκο τους, που αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει μέσα στο 2021.

Formed in mid-2014, Dope Default are a metal/stoner band from Thessaloniki, Greece, influenced from bands like Metallica, Planet of Zeus, Pantera and Monster Magnet.

They released their first EP in 2015, titled ‘Nuclear Honeymoon‘, in very favorable reviews from audience and press alike. After several line-up changes, they released their follow-up EP, called ‘Tales from the Wasteland’.

Having toured extensively they recorded and produced their debut album, ‘Ofrenda’, in 2017, that introduced them to a wider audience.

They released their next album, ‘Imprisoned’, with new front man John Campbell, an album that is a huge step forward for the band, having already made its mark on the scene.

Their latest release is the single “Down to Pieces”, which is accompanied by a music video, directed by Tasos Amarantidis. It is the first song off their upcoming new album, which is set for release in 2021.
