Based in Thessaloniki, Greece and fueled by the neon buzz of the 60s pop-rock invasion, the guys of Mobvibe have worked for nearly a decade to bring the past back into the present.
Coining the term “nusixties” to describe their modern-tinge power-pop sound, on their debut EP “The Nusixties Invasion” Mobvibe offer four searing psych-rock anthems practically shimmering with a distinct flare for groove and funk. This is the music we could have had decades ago — it’s a good thing we’ve got Mobvibe to push it forward into the modern world.
From the surf-rock rhythms and Brit-pop stylings of opening track “Desire” to the foot-stomping vibrancy of “Chelsea,” “The Nusixties Invasion” offers a fleeting selection of impossibly upbeat psych-rock anthems with a hint of an edge.
Με έδρα την Θεσσαλονίκη και με καύσιμο το pop-rock invasion του 1960, οι Mobvibe εργάστηκαν σχεδόν μια δεκαετία για να καταφέρουν να φέρουν το παρελθόν πίσω στο παρόν.
Δημιουργώντας τον όρο “nusixties” για να περιγράψουν τον μοντέρνο power-pop ήχο τους, στο ντεμπούτο EP τους “The Nusixties Invasion” οι Mobvibe παρουσιάζουν τέσσερις ψυχεδελικούς ροκ ύμνους που ξεχωρίζουν για το μοναδικό ρυθμό τους, μουσική που θα μπορούσαμε να έχουμε δεκαετίες πριν.
Από τους surf-rock ρυθμούς και το britpop στιλιζάρισμα του Desire μέχρι τη ζωηρότητα του Chelsea, το “The Nusixties Invasion” προσφέρει μια σχεδόν ακραία εμπειρία ψυχεδελικής ροκ.
