I Broke The Vase – Live

Οι «I broke the vase» (Εύα Ματσίγκου και Νεφέλη Σάνη) συναντήθηκαν στο Τμήμα Μουσικών Σπουδών του ΑΠΘ. Ξεκίνησαν να παίζουν μαζί στα μαθήματα της πειραματικής και αυτοσχεδιαζόμενης μουσικής και της μουσικής δωματίου. Τις ενδιαφέρει η αναζήτηση μέσων παραγωγής ήχου, o αυτοσχεδιασμός και η εξερεύνηση των ενδιάμεσων τεχνών και της performance. Στις live εμφανίσεις τους χρησιμοποιούν όργανα, αντικείμενα, ηλεκτρονικά στοιχεία, φωνές, ηχογραφήσεις και loops. Συνήθως ακολουθούν ένα σενάριο εμπνευσμένο από κάποιο ποίημα, μια ιστορία, μια ιδέα, ένα έργο, λεκτικές και γραφικές παρτιτούρες, με τους ρόλους τους να μην είναι ποτέ ευδιάκριτοι, αλλά να εναλλάσσονται συνεχώς.

“I broke the vase” (Eva Matsigkou and Nefeli Sani) met each other during their studies at the School of Music Studies οf the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. They started playing together during the courses of experimental and improvisatory music and chamber music. They are interested in exploring means of sound production, improvisation, and experimenting with intermedia and performance arts. In their live performances they use instruments, objects, electronic elements, voice, recordings and loops. They usually follow a script inspired by a poem, a story, a concept, a work of art, verbal and graphic scores, while their roles are never distinct but constantly interchangeable.
