Seahorse – Heaven Is Underground

Οι Seahorse φτιάχτηκαν το 2017 από μουσικούς με πολύ μεγάλη ιστορία στην Ελληνική ροκ σκηνή. Οι Ασκληπιός Ζαμπέτας (Τρύπες, Mushrooms, Ghost Note Project), Αλέξης Αποστολάκης (Blues Wire, Θ.Παπακωνσταντινου – Λαϊκεδέλικα, αμέτρητα sessions), Nomik (Universal Trilogy, Sleepin’ Pillow, solo καλλιτέχνης) έφτιαξαν το δικό τους όχημα και πρόσθεσαν τον Bill Vassilo (Johnny Carbonaras, Super Stereo, Γκούλαγκ).

Σε έναν κόσμο που θέλει να τα βάζει όλα σε κουτάκια, λένε ότι παίζουν rock όπως το καταλαβαίνουν οι ίδιοι, με πολλή ενέργεια που τους επιτρέπει να κινούνται από τεράστια riff σε ambient τοπία με αβίαστο τρόπο.

Τον Απρίλη του 2017 κυκλοφόρησαν το 10ιντσο βινύλιο ”The Rough Sessions” σε εξαιρετικά περιορισμένο αριθμό για την record store day από το Lotus Record Shop.

Τον Φεβρουάριο του 2019 κυκλοφορεί το πρώτο τους cd “Heaven is underground” από την Labyrinth of Thoughts.

Seahorse are a band formed in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2017. The members have got a long story in the Greek rock scene, having served in some of the most successful bands to ever come out of Greece.

In this era of pigeonholing, they like to say that they play rock music, without further words. The constant factor is high energy and an ease to navigate from massive riffs to ambient soundscapes.

They have put out an extremely limited vinyl release (Seahorse, the Rough Sessions) on record store day in 2017. It contains two tracks from their upcoming first album, both in different versions.

Their first cd ”Heaven is underground” is scheduled for release by Labyrinth of Thoughts in February 2019.
